Add a barcode asset tag to device info
A Dell computer's asset info in the K1000 identifies the Dell Asset Tag as a barcode. We have 4-digit asset tags also affixed to our systems and would like to add this information to each device listing. If I add a barcode manually to a device, the only option in the "Barcode Name" drop-down is "Dell Service Tag" and you can only have one assigned per device.
How do I add this company-identifier asset tag to the device information?

You can certainly tie multiple assets to another asset, so what you're trying to accomplish here should certainly be possible. It sounds to me like you just need to create a new asset type for your custom 4-digit barcode and add that as a linked asset to the Device asset type. You'd then be able to select one of these custom barcodes and a Dell service tag on each device.
