AdminScriptEditor intellisense not working for custom classes? why?

Hello,

It is obvious that vbscript programmers create own vbscript classes and that AdminScriptEditor instellisense should support them, but AdminScriptEditor instellisense works only with built-in vbscript classes like "ScriptingFileSystemObject", but doesn't work with own created classes defined in currect script file.
No one has though about this requirement? Really?

Please remove your duplicate post.

As to your issue...how much did you pay for ASE? If you feel like taking over the code and improving it, approach Bob Kelly, who may be able to put you in touch with the developer. Or buy and use Primal Script. It's only 389USD.

  • Duplicate removed. It was created due to site UI lag.

"how much did you pay for ASE?"
Is there anywhere stated that someone should pay for ASE?
If it was paid version and functioning as expected I would have ordered it though the company. - Aciduser 8 years ago

What I'm saying is, the software is provided free so there may well be gaps in functionality. Maybe the developer had that feature in mind for the next release. Who knows?

>UI lag
Try that when using a shopping site! :-) Would you not refresh the page before hitting 'Submit' again?

  • That is a pity that Admin Script Editor, the tool with a such a nice fancy interface, has such obvious functionality gaps. If I were a developer of this tool I would know that this is a must-be functionality ;-)

Yeah. I didn't press refresh. It was something with a site UI lag - related to tags suggestions.
Anyway Appdeploy site design and functionality was much better. It least it didn't spoil text formatting as Itninja does. Itninja is now designed to be similar to stackoverflow, but stackoverflow also has no problem with formatting.

I have just bought Vbsedit. Enough functionality for current requirements. Almost 10 times cheaper than Primal Script.
Primal Script has wrong selling strategy. Why should I care about their support of 50+ script languages and overpay, if I only need couple of languages. Even when ordering BMW car you can chose from pre-defined equipment set (Basic/Standard/Premium) and optionally add additional features. This way much more clients could buy this software and especially those who otherwise would chose cheaper products but with limited script language support exactly which they need. :) - Aciduser 8 years ago

I couldn't agree more vis-รข-vis AppDeploy versus IT Ninja! It was very much a retrograde step in my view. Almost any other forum software would be preferable to what we have now.

Having said that, Bob (Kelly) is open to constructive criticism so feel free to let him know your views. I have done and will continue to.
