ByPass BIOS password for BIOS Updates
Hi,
We are trying to Update the BIOS on workstations using SCCM. These workstations currently have BIOS passwords.
We cannot seem to figure a way to bypass these BIOS passwords to install the BIOS updates.
Any ideas?

For Dell you can install the updates automated via the .exe files:
BIOS.exe /s /f /r /p=Password
/s is silent
BIOS.exe /s /f /r /p=Password
/s is silent
/f forces the update (if you want to do higher steps then suggested, if it is not possible and you need a intermediate step it will not update)
/r reboots the machine afterwards
/r reboots the machine afterwards
/p provides the password
other vendors have the same functionality

That command worked!
Throughout our company, we have a couple of different passwords - would we be able to add those other passwords?
ex. /p=password1,password2, etc ...
Also, this BIOS update was for the Dell E5450 and after the BIOS completed, the display was set to 800x600 instead of 1386x768 and it seemed to install all device drivers again. - mikebra 8 years ago

As Nico_K stated - supply the password with the bios install. What type of machines are these? Dell?
