Cannot disable Acrobat.com Online Services in Reader v11.0.1

We are trying to deploy Adobe Reader XI v11.0.1 and have created the MSI and transform file ready for distribution.  Everything in the transform file works, such as disabling auto update, desktop icons, etc etc BUT I still get a “Store Your Files Online” option and a CreatePDF Online option even after ticking “Disable all Adobe online services based workflows and entry point” selection in the Online and Adobe online services section using the latest Adobe customisation wizard version XI.

We have also tested without success adding thefollowing REG_DWORD registry key

HKLM\SOFTWARE\Policies\Adobe\Acrobat Reader\11.0\Workflows

bEnableAcrobatHS = 0x00000000 (0)

Has anyone managed to successfully disable the “Store your files online” and “CreatePDF online” options in Reader V11.0.1?

I save a ton of headaches using their Adobe Customization Wizard XI at: http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=5515 Didn't even try to customize the install command line for this one.

I disabled the complete online offers experience through this wizard!

Actually I found my mistake,  Using Adobe Customization Wizaard V11 in the online services features section, then the Adobe Online services integration I had selected only the last box - "Disable all Adobe online services" so all the selections above that turned grey, so I thought they were not applicable, BUT i found "Enable file storage even when all other services" was ticked even though it was greyed out.  So I deselected  the last option (Disable all Adobe online services), then deselected the second last option (Enable file storage ...) and reselected the last option to fix the problem.

  • Interesting! I may have to revisit my Wizard and see what I have left in there. Thanks for the pointer. - worzie 11 years ago
