Current user self healing

Hi
I need self healing to only create an empty folder in users home directories, all MSI self healing articles i have read are for files or registry. Is it possible?

You should add your CreateFolder action to a component that is selfrepairing when the adverstised shortcut (or something like ActiveSetup) is clicked (e.g. component: CurrentUser). If such a component does not exist you can create a component that creates a dummy registry key in HKCU and add the CreateFolder action to it.

Thanks Yuri. The software communicates through the web using databases in the user folder, Unfortunately the program is not done properly and once in a while a user´s database breaks and the program stops working for that user, the solution is to delete the directory . Although I had searched a lot for any thread about the same type of issue I did not find any until now. Guess the best solution will be to create a vbs that first checks, the directory and if needed creats it, then launches the app and replace the app´s shortcut with this vbs in MST.

Rating comments in this legacy AppDeploy message board thread won't reorder them,
so that the conversation will remain readable.
