Deploying Windows 10 VM on Hyper-V reboot cycles on first boot
I am trying to test my K2000 scripted installs with Hyper-V 2012. Unfortunately Hyper-V does not let you do a One-Time boot option off the NIC. You have to setup your VM with the legacy NIC as the first boot option. The install starts fine, but on the first reboot after the windows files are deployed will continue to boot off the NIC.
The K2000 boot menu is configured to timeout and then boot off the hard drive, but the Hyper-V VMs fails to boot this way. The menu times out and for about a second I see the Windows 10 blue logo appear, then the VM reboots and cycles through this again.
In order to get this to work I have to wait for the first boot and change the boot order back to Hard Disk first.
Using the latest K2000 verions 5 and Windows 2012 Hyper-V.

I'm not a fan of Hyper-V, but scripted installs are done using the vanilla virgin OS ISO, so if it get's installed fine, you will need to just boot from the hard drive. - Channeler 6 years ago
