email when assigning a ticket
Hi all.
I what to have the submitter notified by email when a ticket is assigned to an owner so I check the box in "email on events, Owner, Change submitter". But when I change the ower on a ticket that I'm the submitter I do not get an email stating that the owner has been changed. Is there some place else that I need to check to get this to work?
I do have Owner checked for "Any Change" and owners (like me) do get email message when things change on a ticket so I know the email part of Kbox is working.
Where have I gone wrong???

You want to check the box under email on events that corresponds to Owner Change -> Submitter. That said, I believe the KACE does not submit a email to you when you make a change yourself. It assumes you already know about it, since you made it, so it shouldn't spam you. To test, have someone else change the ticket owner where you are the submitter, and see if you get an email.

You can always create a second user account to use for testing rather than an actual other person. ; ) - philologist 12 years ago
