Error 1608
Couple of days ago I started getting - error 1608: Unable to create InstallDriver instance, Return code: -2147221164. Windows update reinstalled windows installer 3.1, I restarted the computer when it asked me to, but I'm still haveng trouble installing certain things. If anyone has any ideas will be much appreciated. Thanks.

A genuine 1608 error in Windows Installer relates to a ERROR_UNKNOWN_PROPERTY.
So, the error you are seeing is probably not related to Windows Installer, but to InstallShields Installer engine. This is most probably because you need to re/install the InstallShield InstallScript driver.

Thanks for the info, but where do I get the InstallShield InstallScript driver from to reinstall it, sorry probably sounds a bit noobish. Thanks again.
