Has anyone created a path label without using smart labels?

I have a set of servers that are supported by a vendor, and the vendor only supports patches that it has tested and approved. How can I utilize Kace to apply only the approved patches. I still need to patch my workstations and other servers using Kace with all available Critical and Security patches, so disabling patches isn't an option.

I'd appreciate any suggestions.

Sounds like you need a smart label that excludes these particulars servers and patch that label with your critical and security updates. To do that I would create a smart label that uses REGEX to exclude them from the other servers.
From there, target that label.

Then, create another smart label with only that servers you need to apply the vendor patches on and target your managed installs (upload the patches to your software inventory and then create MI) to that smart label.
