How do I deploy the Mac version of Sophos as a K2000 post-install?

This would be a follow up to the K1000 thread: http://www.itninja.com/question/how-do-you-install-sophos-antivirus-on-a-mac

My K1000 distribution works, however when I duplicated it as a K2000 post-install, and then tried to deploy it on a Mac, it didn't seem to work. I also don't know where K2000 copies post-install scripts and files so I can't troubleshoot on the machine.

This is my post-install:

Inside the ZIP are the following files:

com.sophos.sau.plist

install.sh

Sophos Anti-Virus.mpkg

And install.sh contains:

installer -pkg 'Sophos Anti-Virus.mpkg' -target /

cp 'com.sophos.sau.plist' /Library/Preferences

I just searched the Mac, and there's no trace of anything with "Sophos" in the name.

Is it unzipping the zip file? Does the ZIP file get pushed to the target machine?

  • The problem is I have no idea where K2000 puts post install tasks for a Mac. I know where they go for Windows but not Mac. - jtremblay 10 years ago
