How do I support my company effectively?

I’m the only IT guy in a small organization of 10 employees with 20 nodes. How can I support all of them effectively?

Generally I would say something like "With chairs and desks" but I dont think I will this time.

What sort of support are you hoping to deliver? Policies and procedures? Active directory with logins and roaming/non roaming profiles? K1000 inventory and application control, WDS and K2000 imaging and deployment?

You've asked a very broad question. Maybe you could elaborate a little more on the situation?

  • A must have tool is a k1000 and k2000. Both appliance will make your life easy. K1000 will allow you to control your environment with tools like software deployment, patching, scripting, inventory and even a help desk. The k2000 allows you to standardize a computer image. - vacuna 12 years ago

You might check out the Dell KACE M300. This is an asset management device for smaller environments. Not nearly as robust as the K1000 but it might meet your needs.
