Install Shield wont change the registry on Windows 7 x64

Hey guys,

I have been writing some new programs using Admin Studio 9.01 for our new OS Windows 7 x64bit. The program is to register a Type 1 Font which entails both copying the PFB and PFM file to the windows > Font folder and making a change in the registry so the font is registered and picked up by Word. The Copying of the file works correctly however the registry always remains un changed. When using the same domain admin account to install this created MSI on Vista x86 it works correctly and changes the registry. I have confirmed with Admin Studio that this version should be compatible with Windows 7 x64. Has anyone run into this problem yet? Any ideas?
Thanks

Dave

Template Summary needs to be set to x64 and every component needs to be set to a 64bit component.
Otherwise Windows Installer will install the files to the 32bit hives in the registry (WOW6432Node,...)

Where exactly you want changes in registry? I mean, path in registry?

Don't you have to set the IS project up as a 64-bit project? That should take care of it.

Thanks guys this was completely my problem, after changing the Template Summary inside Summary Information Stream to "x64;1033", changing the relevant component to a 64bit and also changing disable regisrty reflection value to Yes everything is working fine.
Thanks for your help in this matter.
