Installation issues while making MSI from Packaging server to local system

Hi,

I am facing issue while installing the MSI package from a Packaged server to a Windows 7. I am unable to create the Virtual Directory as well as the Application Pool when installing the MSI. When I execute the same through the Command Prompt with Run as Administrator, it worked.

What is wrong that I am doing? Please do suggest.

  • I'm curious why your installing an IIS app pool onto win 7... but anyway, that just sounds like a UAC thing. How do you try installing the MSI??? - Badger 9 years ago
