Installing Microsoft CRM 2011 Rollup with Patching Module

We are trying to update ~100 systems from CRM 2011 Rollup 6 to Rollup 15.   We have the patch downloaded in the patching module and its detected as missing on our test box.  A patching deploy job tries to push it out, but it almost immediately fails and prompts for a restart.   Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

  • Pretty much every MS installer can output a log file. Start there. Without more clues, there's no chance anyone will know what the problem is. - anonymous_9363 9 years ago
  • do you have the pre reqs on the machine??
    Prerequisites:
•This update must be installed on a computer that is running Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 Update Rollup 6 or a later Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 update rollup.
•This update requires Microsoft .NET Framework 4. - Badger 9 years ago

Thanks for the input.  Instead of using the Patching Module, I ended up using Managed Installs with the help of this MS article: http://blogs.msdn.com/b/crminthefield/archive/2011/08/01/crm-2011-silently-installing-update-rollups.aspx
