Installing & uninstalling application
hi,
i am trying to uninstall this application ... using IF statement... here is the problem ... if i use NOT installed cmd, application work but the uninstall application icon shows up in the control panel .. if use REMOVE~="ALL" u can only install the uninstall then you have go to control panel to uninstall the application which doesn't make sense to me.. so is there any way i can make it uninstall but not show up in control panel.. using if statement ... thanks

Remove the publishing action or set the propert ARPSYSTEMCOMPONENT=1.
ARPSYSTEMCOMPONENT
Prevents display of the application in the Programs List of the Add/Remove Programs in the Control Panel.

Cool thanks AngelD it works.. you r lifesaver... one more thing.. in the same msi i'm trying to add ODBC ( system DSN)... for the copying the registry files but that doesn't seems to work.. thing is my msi will uninstall old version which contains. ODBC drivers.. in the same msi i have put vbscript at the end just before Installfanilized to uninstall what can i do for the new ODBC drivers.. any suggestions.. thanks in advance
