Installshield Modules Folder

In the Installshield, while we are creating a Mergemodule, we have option to copy it to Modules folder[C:\InstallShield 2014 Projects\MergeModules]
so that once we build the ism, the msm file will be copied to this location and when we open other ISM files, this mergemodule will be visible to add to the project.

Our current requirement is having msm with same name for 32 and 64bit.So once we build any of them they will get replaced by other.
Is there any option in registries or in Installshield setting itself to change the Modules folder to point a different location.

  • Thanks for providing the link. But all the links in the google shows how to add a folder to installshield in that particular machine and added to all the projects running on it.

But I am not getting any link to add directory for mergemodules for a specific ism file so that I can move this ism wherever I need by keeing the merge module folder relative to it. - ur00361883 7 years ago

Well, that wasn't your original question, was it?

IS provides no way for individual projects to have their own MM folder. You're going to have to live with it. Anyway, that would kind of miss the point of MMs. They're designed to form a library of frequently-used components to be shared amongst projects.
