Is there a session timeout imposed with Kace helpdesk?

Server: Current Version: 6.3.113399

Hi all,

Recently, users have been experiencing "timeouts" when logged into the helpdesk. If there is little or no activity in the helpdesk, it appears to log people out. This only happens when you navigate to another page within the helpdesk. E.g. I open a support ticket, get called away for 10 minutes, come back, enter information into the ticket, click Submit and then it would log me out and lose all information entered.

Has anyone else experienced this? Is there some sort of timeout setting in version 6.3?

Any help would be greatly appreciate as always!

Thanks,

Jon

  • To add, I've just noticed within the General settings there is a timeout session setting. This has been set to 12 hrs. Could anything else have an impact on logging a user out? - TenUser 8 years ago

Yes there is a timeout imposed by Dell Kace K1000.  You have the ability to change that time by going to Settings Control Panel and to the right you will see Session Timeout.  There is a drop down box and you can choose which option works best for your environment.
