Is there a way to prompt for a value and pass that value to a report that automatically changes the WHERE clause in the SQL code?

I have created a report that keeps up with the warranty end date for our switches. We would like to be able to view the report by year, specifically, we would like the report to prompt for a year, and when the year is entered, the switches with warranties ending during that year will display on the report. Is there a way to prompt for a value (year) and have that value passed to the MySQL code?
