K1000 - Import Users based on Distribution Groups

Is it possible to import users into Kace based on a Distribution Group?

For LDAP Auth, you can put the groups into the LDAP search filter, like "(memberOf=CN=some_dist_group,OU=some_ou,DC=domain,DC=com)". There are plenty of tutorials on building LDAP queries available online. - grayematter 10 years ago
Yea. Ive tried that but i need to be able to import users based on a particular e-mail address. We have multiple companies under the same domain. I need to separate out the users based on a dynamic distribution group. If this isn't possible what other options are there? - anonymous_104535 10 years ago

You should be able to filter based on the membership of that particular distribution group. Put in the appropriate server, port, and search base. The query for authentication should be something like:
(&(objectCategory=person)(objectClass=user)(samaccountname=KBOX_USER)(memberOf=CN=some_dist_group,OU=some_ou,DC=domain,DC=com)) - grayematter 9 years ago
