Kace Version 5.4 Ubuntu install fails

Hi,

I get the following error when trying to install the client on Ubuntu:

"dpkg: error: requested operation requires superuser privilege"

I assume it is because the install does not use root. Root is disabled on all of our Ubuntu boxes.

Usually when logged into the machine I would use "sudo" but the client provisioning page does not have this option.

Anyway around this without having to enable root on the machines ?

Cheers

Does the account you are giving the provisioning task have superuser rights on the system you are trying to provision?

No, there are no superuser accounts, I just enabled root, provisioned the machine and then disabled root. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
