Inorder for the patch downloads to work, it is necessary for the K1000 server to reach these urls.
Please check your network configuration to verify nothing is blocking access to the above mentioned urls.
Hint: If proxy server is being used, you might have to add an exception for these urls. Please check the server logs for more information.

I also check server error and find

  • I'm not sure what articles you have taken a look at or what you've tried to troubleshoot so far. There's an article about what ports need to be opened and also what sites to white list.

Do you use a firewall or a proxy?

If all of that is fine, you may want to create a support ticket so we can take a further look into your issue. - KACE_Irwin 8 years ago
  • Hello Irwin
My Kbox 6.4 server can not download patch. There is no firewall and proxy block my server.
But patch download log says error: [notice] Network connectivity checks failed on the following urls: go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=74689. Server error log says AH01071: Got error 'PHP message: PHP Warning: trim() expects parameter 1 to be string, array given in /kbox/kboxwww/include/common_tiny.inc on line 365\n', referer: http://kbox64/adminui/settings_patch.php

  • BTW, I update my question :) so it's clear now. - ning.chen 8 years ago
    • I'm trying to research the information to see what could be causing the issue. If this is urgent for you, I'd suggest opening up a trouble ticket with the helpdesk so we can investigate it. - KACE_Irwin 8 years ago
      • Ning,

Are you still having issues download patches? If so, can you create a ticket with the helpdesk or try to copy and paste the whole patching log so we can see everything? - KACE_Irwin 8 years ago
      • Hello KACE Irwin,
Double check with our IT guys, I find that there is a company firewall block patch downloading process. After I move my Kbox to another network, I find my Kbox works properly.
Thank you very much about your reply. - ning.chen 8 years ago
  • It seems to me a problem with your proxy; are you sure that your K1000 is not using a proxy?
Can you navigate (without any proxy) the the URL that seems to be blocked?
You can use WIRESHARK in promiscuous mode to try to capture the traffic of your K1000 and find out what's the issue.
I'd recommend to open a ticket as well with the KACE support.
    Kind regards,

SOLVED: The problem was caused by the company firewall that was blocking the patch download
