Need to install OS on a workgroup machine

I have a CPU for which network ports are working but neither of the USB nor CD drive.
It is not in a domain network to install through WDS.

Is there any way to install OS on that?

  • It doesn't have any USB connections? That's odd. If it really doesn't then your options are imaging from network using PXE or taking out the hard drive and using another computer to image it. - JasonEgg 6 years ago
    • that machine is in esx server room... And it's very complicated to dismantle it..

Is there any possbility with network installation.I tried with MDT but the DHCP is in a linux restricrted environemnt.

May be a layman question, is there nay possiblity to create a network between by laptop and the target machine with a single lan wire and install the OS??? - ur00361883 6 years ago
      • IS it an ESX server itself? If so, why can't you remotely manage it? Are you the server admin? If not, could you talk to your sysadmins to see if they have any software/hardware you could use to solve the problem? - JasonEgg 6 years ago
  • What method/software are you planning on using to install the OS? - JasonEgg 6 years ago

  • There is no OS in to take it remote... The machine don't have esx software also... Leave all the comments...the current state is we can't detach the hardware and no usb or CD ROM...only network but no domain...and dhcp is there but not windows server. - ur00361883 6 years ago
