Patch Windows 7 Embedded with K1000

I realize that Kace doesn't 'officially' support patching Windows Embedded machines.    I am under the impression however that this should work.
Has anyone successfully managed to get the K1000 to patch their Windows (7) Embedded machines?

We get the message "completed (Platform not supported or subscribed)." on all of them.

  • I doubt it'll work unless you get the KBOX to recognize it as another version of Window 7.

    Have you tried:
"Thin solutions are currently NOT supprted and is USE AT OWN risk. However, you may obtain some functionality using the NOHOOKS=1 switch during install, but this will cause the agent to function in a limited capacity and any issues will not be supported by the support teams."

    • Thanks h2polo25. I haven't tried that yet. I was considering it, but as a lesser resort if I couldn't find a cleaner way to do it. - rmavery 9 years ago

It's not supported in any way.  NOHOOKS won't make any difference.

This is because embedded OSes don't show up as an OS to be patched.
