Patching ?

I need to to create 3 patches in msi format..

The first patch ( is the full installation)
The second overwrites ( or upgrades) the first
The third overwrites ( or upgrades) the second.. but
If I have to remove the 3rd patch it has to roll back to the 1st patch not the previous 2nd patch .
Anyone have a custom action or script from Wise or the MSI script editor I could use?
This is only a demo Im creating, it can use An "hello World" .txt and simply change the text in the file.. Hello world 1 -> Hello world 2 etc ..they are only ini file patches..
Thanks

5tide

Not sure if this is of any help to you right now, but Windows Installer 3.0 is supposed to help solve this kind of problem. Windows Installer version 3.0 requires Windows Server 2003, Windows XP, or Windows 2000 with Service Pack 3. Windows Installer version 3.0 is planned to be available as a free download shortly after the release of Software Update Services version 2.0.
