Problem with K2000 installation script
Hello,
I cannot apply any installation script to any computers by KACE 2000. Whatever the script mode installation (assistant script, no script), after i choose the installation script, the script does the pre-installation commands if they are set and then it should apply the OS (win 7 pro 32bits or 64bits), but the computer restart every time.
And then, after reboot, i got the message "bootmgr is missing".
i looked into any user guide or video tutorial from Dell and i pretty sure i'm not doing anything wrong with the simple task of creating an installation script.
There's something wrong with the deployment but i have no idea what it is. Anyone can help me with this issue?

My preinstall tasks are :
- create single partition
- install vista/2008/7/8/2012 mbr

Not sure with scripted installs, but with imaging you would need to format the drive after creating a single partition, do you have that preinstall task? For instance, format C: as NTFS - nheyne 10 years ago
i added the pretask format c: as ntfs, like the screenshot above. But the result is the same.
I set up the handling error "prompt on errors" but during the preinstallation i got no error. So i assume it's ok. After that, the installation of the os should start, but instead the system reboot with the message "bootmgr".
I thought maybe it's the os images. I tried several different ones with the same result. And if i burn them on dvd i can install them properly.

Did you end up fixing the issue ? What was the outcome, I started to have the same issues today. My scripted install will not mount to c drive in any target computer. - Daimonizer 10 years ago
