Put a .lnk file in all users SENDTO folder

Hi there,

I have an app that requires a link in the users SENDTO folder. Of course, it only gets installed for the current user. Has anyone run in to this problem before?

What about a custom action/script to copy the file there everytime?

Why not create a shortcut thats located in SendTo (Windows\Profiles\SendTo)?

There is no folder, literally, or winnt\profiles\sendto

Are referring to C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\SendTo ?

If so, then the install will only create the shortcut in the folder of the user that performed the install. When other users login, the shortcut is not there.

"C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\SendTo ?" Yes
You must have something to trigger the repair, after that the shortcut would be added to the new user.
Or use Active Setup for msiexec /fu <Product Code>

Ya, that would be good... triggering the repair somehow. Do you know how I could do this?

Find an Entry Point and set that as a keypath for the component the shortcut is located in.
