Remote/silent uninstall of applications from computers

Hello!

I am currently trying to uninstall software remotely and silently from a users computer. I wanted to know if anyone knew of a way to do this via kace or is their a way to do it via a script. I kace gives you and uninstall command that you can input into command line but it prompts the user for uninstall which is something that I do not want to do. Any suggestions?

Thanks you in advance!

At first check how to uninstall.
Usually you will have MSI files, where an uninstall is easy and also silently.

msiexec /X{ID] /qn
would unistall completely silent.

With KACE go to Inventory|Software| <the software in question> and check for Uninstall String.
With this string you can setup a script (if you want to uninstall multiple software in one script)

You also can use the Uninstaller under:
Scripting | Configuration Policies | Windows Uninstalller.
Set this up which produces you a script for this special Software only.

And of course you can use WMIC for doing this in a script for Software where no other way can be found (or multiple software with a similar name, like Java)
wmic product where "name like 'Java%%'" call uninstall /nointeractive

There's a few ways to go about it, depending on the app.  Do some research on how to uninstall the app silently, and also look into using the local system account to run the uninstall, which should provide another way to be silent.

The easiest way is to look up the computer in INVENTORY /Devices  on right side of the page is the  search area. Once you find your computer, click on the name of the computer, scroll down till you see SOFTWARE / Installed Programs , click on that find your software program and click on the program it will open up the  program  and show you the uninstall command.

Uninstall Command:

MsiExec.exe /i{AC76BA86-7AD7-1033-7B44-AC0F074E4100}

write it like; start /wait MsiExec.exe /X{AC76BA86-7AD7-1033-7B44-AC0F074E4100} /qn

sometimes the uninstall command looks like this

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Windows Live\Installer\wlarp.exe" /uninstall:16.4.3528.0331 /quiet

You will need to play around it with it a bit and test .... but what I have shown will uninstall it silently.

There are many ways to do this, from PowerShell to special utilities.

Example:

https://www.silentinstall.org/uninstall-gpo/

https://www.exemsi.com/

many other applications.
