Repackager Issue

Hi everyone,
New to this forum and am hoping someone can help me out.
I've run the repackager (v1.1) and installed the application (Nortel Callpilot) on Windows Vista Business SP1 via setup.exe. When the repackager attempts to compare the 2 snapshot files, I get the following error, and the repackager crashes. The app does work correctly after the install. Thanks in advance for any/all help. Guy

This is a new one-- is there a download link for this application so we can see if it is a reproducible situation?

Thanks!

OK....after much ado, I've come to the conclusion that the issue is not with the Repackager, as this error comes up (only it points to the app I'm trying to run) when I try to run a couple of different programs. I do believe the problem is with my PC and not the application.

Thanks for the input though.

bump and to say i had the same issue.

msdn vista business x86 sp1 unpatched, as a guest VM on HyperV host.
using Office 2007 enterprise msdn iso, manually executing it (so i can run it with a .msp mod file).
and running v1.1 of the appdeploy repackager tool.

restarted appdeploy after the crash and it resumed from the last sucessful step - 2nd attempt ran fine.

Sounds like you already have an MSI here-- you should not repackage an MSI to an MSI (that is definitely unsupported)
Rating comments in this legacy AppDeploy message board thread won't reorder them,
so that the conversation will remain readable.
