When the Kace agent is installed on a MAC does it have root access to allow kscripts and shell scripts to be run?

Yes.

  • Thank you. I was having an issue where I was using commands to mount a drive via online shell script kace and it would prompt me for root password. I shouldn't have this considering the kace agent is installed at the root access level. - fleminsa 7 years ago
    • Was your script trying to mount as root? In that case then you might be getting prompted to enter credentials for the network share and it is defaulting to authenticate as root. You need to specify the username and password for the network share. - chucksteel 7 years ago
