yes i am running all apps as admin but thisperticular app says u should be administrator to run this application. and i have admin account........ - swap20june 9 years ago

If this is an old application it may be checking that the username is Administrator, and not that the current user is a members of the Administrators group. - EdT 9 years ago

so, it installs OK with admin creds. Then when you run the app it prompts for elevation??? - Badger 9 years ago

For computers without UAC -
Right-click anywhere on your desktop, and point to New, then click Shortcut. In the wizard that appears, type taskmgr.exe. Click Next, and type the name you want for this shortcut. Click Finish, .Start it with Run As Administrator/ Run As Different user (or use "runas /user:admin taskmgr" in RUN ) then go to the drop down menu on Windows Task manager - File->New Task (Run), Browse and select the MSI Installer which want to execute. - spas.slavchev 9 years ago
