Sysprep Executor quits but doesn't shutdown
I am trying to capture a Windows 10 image to upload to my K2000 and I run the latest Sysprep Creator and it creates the Unattend.XML file and the Sysprep Executor program, however when I double click the Executor, it runs through the checklist and passes then deletes the Unattend.XML file from my desktop then the Sysprep Executor file and Windows "dings" at me then the pc just sits there. I have chosen the option to shutdown after sysprep but it doesn't do that. This is only the 2nd system to have a full capture of Windows 10 and I wasn't involved in the capturing of the first Windows 10 image. Am I doing something wrong?

Sysprep Executor just runs the sysprep commands. After clicking to Sysprep after the checklist, you should get a dialog warning that we are running a microsoft tool, does that message not appear?

No that message does not appear. I do recall when I ran the tool on a Windows 7 machine it would run Sysprep and shutdown the machine. The machine in question has been idle since I posted the question and hasn't done anything. Can I safely try and capture at this point or has Sysprep not run at all? - lweems 7 years ago

It doesn't seem like it has run yet. I'm fairly certain there is a "Sysprep_succeeded.tag" file created if it runs properly. Usually found in C:\Windows\System32\Sysprep. - getElementById 7 years ago

After looking at the setupact log file, I see where sysprep can not validate. Failure occured while executing 'SysprepGeneralizeValidate' Could this be because I am trying to capture a deployment from the K2000? - lweems 7 years ago

After trying numerous times and trying to decipher the sysprep log I have found out Sysprep is thinking that the version of Windows is an upgrade. I downloaded the Windows 10 build 10586 from our MVLS and used that to create a new VM. When I try and run sysprep on that VM I continue to get the same message. Has anyone sucessfully sysprepped Windows 10 build 10586 and if so can you please let me know what you did to get it to work?
