If the system is in the driver feed (and you downloaded it) the drivers from it are copied to c:\windows\drivers
If the system is not in the driver feed Windows injects its own drivers.
Since you have an image it has already drivers in c:\windows\drivers which are used. These drivers were injected on the system which you have put the image from (the drivers are not injected during the process)

ok Im asking this because Im using issues with audio, i have multiple computers that the speakers dont switch to headphones, updating the drivers dont help. (this issue has to due with the imaging part)

if I use the scripting part I have no issue. But if the correct drivers are in driver feed it works.

I had similar issues with a laptop recently when I accidentally imaged before adding my drivers to the feed.

You might want to check your K2000 /SDA driver feed again for the drivers and download it from there. They should be available to download.

Otherwise if you dont have them you can always download the driver pack and manually add them in. Assuming its the Latitude 3510 and not the Precision 3510

@theITNoob your right if the drivers are it doesn't work. I had to reimage the pc?  did you? because even adding the drivers didn't help

Comments:
  • Yes after downloading the available drivers from the driver feed I did a reimage to apply the correct drivers. I believe you will also have to 'recache all drivers'
Settings > Appliance Maintenance > Recache All Drivers button

From there you should boot the laptop back into k2000 to reimage

also worth noting i see that the available latitude 3510 drivers in k2000 are version A02 (atleast in my feed). The link i posted above is A04. You can also try downloading that pack to a 3510 and seeing if that updated pack resolves your audio driver issue? - TheITNooB 3 years ago
