WindowsInstaller-KB893803-v2-x86.exe /quiet /norestart

Can anyone tell why if I run the Windows installer from the run command if works fine and installs.

c:\WindowsInstaller-KB893803-v2-x86.exe /quiet /norestart

but when I run through sms it fails and if I test using the run command

\\bpsms\smspkgd$\BP100009\WindowsUpdateAgent20-x86.exe /quiet /norestart

I get this message invalid arguments

usage Wusetup.exe /f /q /i

Hej StefStephens,

I think if you set it like this;

"\\bpsms\smspkgd$\BP100009\WindowsUpdateAgent20-x86.exe" /quiet /norestart

that would work. " " is the answer.

Cheers,

The /norestart argument makes sure that the computer is not restarted.
But SMS still sees that a reboot is pending.
Rating comments in this legacy AppDeploy message board thread won't reorder them,
so that the conversation will remain readable.
