wise for windows installer error when first run

I am very new to package building, and am working with a copy of wise I got from work, and I installed it and first thing that comes up is an error that states:

c:\wise share point\templates\file\windows application.wsi was not found

Then it brings up the ODBC control panel.

I am confused. That directory structure was not created during install.

I manually created it, same error. I created a dummy txt file and called it that name and it came up, but asked me for odbc connections again. I do not know what to create This is version 6.

Thanks./

Hi Asch:

Could you tell me whether you chose Client or Complete mode during the installation?

When I installed, I was never given an option. Just installed.

If you use the professional version, then you first need to install an MS SQL server, for example SQL Express 2005, which have a free version. Then you must install the server-version of Wise, and connect it to the database. This is because the professional version is meant to use a sentral database.
It would be easier to install the Standard version, which doesn't need any SQL database at all. Not sure how the licensing works here though.

I would like to add to sikkert that you may install MSDE and then install your WISE product this way you could go for a complete install.
