How SMA users can use other KACE tools to make life easier

Check out this succinct article from James Rico to get you thinking about other tools that may help make it easier to do your job.

KACE, Does More Than You Know

James Rico | June 14, 2018

The KACE Systems Management Appliance has been around for quite a while and most people probably know we do endpoint systems management. Yes, we can manage your desktop, and servers. However, you may not know all the other things KACE has to offer.

KACE Cloud Mobile Device Management allows you to manage Android and IOS devices. Now you can inventory, provision, and manage mobile devices. You can also directly integrate these devices straight into the KACE Systems Management Appliance for total lifecycle management. This allows you to manage all your endpoints from a single pane of glass, effectively.

With the KACE Systems Deployment Appliance (SDA) you can provision laptops, desktops, and servers. We support Windows and Macintosh operating systems. Are you planning to migrate from Windows 7 to Windows 10, the KACE SDA will simplify the process. With the KACE SDA you can automatically pull a user state, re-image the system to Windows 10 and push the user state back down to the device. The KACE SDA also supports Multicasting to help speed up  those large imaging projects. With our hands free network based imaging process you can remotely image systems without leaving your desk.

KACE Privilege Manager for Windows will get you to a least privileged environment quickly.  By keeping administrative privileges away from standard users, you can add another layer of defense to your security posture. With KACE Privilege Manager you can easily discover and remove users from the local admin group. Then you can create whitelist rules to automatically elevate any processes you select, helping to keep those service desk calls to a minimum.

KACE Desktop Authority (DA) can simplify and secure users virtual workspace. With our patented validation logic, you can dynamically and selectively target things such as drive mapping or printer setup. So when a person moves to another location they are automatically mapped to the correct printer. KACE DA can take those GPO type tasks and make them simple to configure. It can also help manage USB and port security, helping you keep your companies data safe. With Expert Assist, you can provide your end users remote desktop support, while utilizing its robust management tools.

KACE has a solution for every point in the systems lifecycle from provisioning to retirement, KACE has you covered.
