Title: Packaging consultant/ Application packager Location: Charlotte, NC Duration: 6-18 months Skills: Wise package, Windows 7, and App V Wise package, Windows 7, and App V Position Description: Experience Level: 4 year degree and 5+ years experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Description: · Provides technical consultation and support in the development of computer applications and programs. · Analyzes business requirements, designs and writes technical specifications to design or redesign computer solutions. · Develops original and/or complex code or provides coding guidance to less experienced staff. · Leads and/or performs modeling, simulations and analysis efforts. · Verifies program logic by overseeing the preparation of test data, testing and debugging of programs. · Participates in overall systems testing. Leads the migration of applications to production. · Develops new documentation, participates in the development of department technical procedures and designs user guides. · As an escalation point for application support and troubleshooting, provides guidance and direction to less experienced staff in resolution of escalated issues and/or complex production, application or system problems. · Leads projects, including assignment of tasks, and provides direction and guidance to less experienced staff. Assures quality, security and compliance requirements are met for supported area and oversees updating and testing of the business continuation plan. · Using our Enterprise Application Engineering (EAE) packaging standards, integrate and develop packages for various in-house developed and shrink-wrapped applications for the Wells Fargo Desktop Connection managed LAN environment. · Minimum experience and competency with Microsoft Windows XP client and associated server environment Familiarity and expertise with Microsoft's MSI technology and application environment Familiarity and expertise with . · DLL (and other system files) conflict troubleshooting Familiarity and comfort with Registry troubleshooting, modification and troubleshooting. · Familiarity with packaging tools such as Wise Packaging Studio; including both snapshot captures and .MST creation for .MSI application modification. Familiarity with the Ghost "imaging" tool Preferred Experience Advanced experience with application packaging and integration toolsets. · Strong understanding of automation concepts and how they are effectively applied to large environment, including the ability to implement, manage, and track changes across large populations of technology. · Thorough technical knowledge of Microsoft feature set and security model. · Professionalism, attention to detail, and the ability to manage personal tasks independently The aptitude to innovate-to integrate new and better technologies and methods into our products Exposure and experience to a broad array of technical disciplines, including networking. · This Contractor will be performing Quality Assurance as a primary role.
