Apple Move to iOS app available in the Google app store makes it easier to complete the transfer process between an iOS and Android smartphone. Though it can’t transfer user passwords, music, etc., can quickly move all the text messages, photos, videos, calendar, etc.

The Move to iOS app provides support for all the major phones and tablets which are running Android 4.0 or later version. It can also transfer data to devices running iOS 9 or later version.

But, before you start data moving process from Android to your iPhone, try to make sure that you have below-mentioned requirements available

  • iPhone 5 or later version
  • iPad 4th generation or later version
  • iPad mini 2nd generation or later version

Steps to be performed before starting

  1. On your Android, make sure that your Wi-Fi is ON.
  2. Plug your new iOS device and your Android into power.
  3. Make sure the content you're moving, including what's on your external Micro SD card, will fit on your new iOS device
  4. If you want to transfer your Chrome bookmarks, update it to the latest version and then start transporting process
Now, perform the below-mentioned steps

1) Tap move data from Android

At the time of setting up your new iOS device, first, look for the Apps and data screen. Then, tab moves data from Android. If you have not finished the setup, you need to erase your iOS device and then start over.

From your Android device, open the Move to iOS app and tap Continue to proceed further. Also, read all the terms and conditions that appear. Tap Agree to continue, then taps Next in the top-right corner of the Find Your Code screen.

3) Wait for a code

On your iOS phone, tap Continue on the screen called Move from Android. Then wait for a ten-digit code to appear. If your Android device shows an alert, that you have a weak Internet connection, you can simply ignore the warning message.

4) Use the code

After, entering the required code on your Android device, wait for a period for the data transfer screen to appear.

5) Choose your content wisely and then wait

On your Android smartphone, select the type of content that you want to move and tap Next. Then leave aside both these devices intact until you see the loading bar that appears on your iOS device finishes.

Here's what gets transferred: photos, videos, audio, text message, contacts, etc. Some of your free apps will transfer if they're available on both Google Play and the App Store. After the data transfer process gets completed, you can download any free apps that were matched from the App Store. Any matched paid apps will appear in your iTunes Wishlist.

6) Finally, set up your iOS device

Once loading bar gets completed on your iOS device, tap Done from your Android device. Then, tap Continue on your iOS device.

Once data transfer process is accomplished successfully from an Android to iPhone smartphone, enable iCloud backup so that iPhone or another iOS device backup all your received files to iCloud. You must fully organize your data backup in order to avoid loss of transferred files else an iPhone data recovery software will help you restore the digital loss from an iPhones memory or iCloud account.
