K1000: Script to disable IE 10 auto-upgrade

Go to Scripting > Create a New Online K Script and use the following 

RUN AS LOCAL SYSTEM

Directory: <empty>

File: REG ADD "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Setup\10.0" /v DoNotAllowIE10 /d 00000001 /t REG_DWORD

Params: /f /reg:64

Just make sure that you check Allow Run while logged off to get those machines. http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=36512 You can get the IE10_Blocker.cmd here too and add it as a dependency too for those of your who want to go the harder route. - offduty 11 years ago
  • So what happens if the user is disconnected from Kace at the time the script runs. Will the user get the script the next time they login? I had 34 systems that failed due to being disconnected. - dave5008 10 years ago
