KACE: I've Upgraded to Version 5.3. And My Vista Distributions Are Not Functional

Summary:  You have upgraded to 5.3 and find that distributions that currently worked for you concerning Windows Vista in the past are no longer functional.

Symptoms:  The distributions are pushed but no record of it by debug or waiting to deploy in the distribution.

Resolution:  Select the added software selection for Vista with "TM"

list.

  • What is the exact version of the client / server? Is it only happening to Vista? All or just some? - dchristian 12 years ago
  • I have been told that it is because how 5.3 agent pulls information. Some builds of Vista have the "TM" trademark which was ignored before and that why you will find it it listed in the drop down for OS. If you have different builds of Vista this may be an issue and suggest that you add those as a trouble-shooting step. No other operating systems seem to be affected. - KACE_Mary 12 years ago
