PLYMOUTH, Mich. - Sept. 28, 2004 - Wise Solutions, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Altiris, Inc. (Nasdaq: ATRS), today announced InstallTailor, a utility for easy customization of Windows Installer (.MSI) packages, is now available at no cost to IT organizations. As more applications are delivered to system administrators in .MSI format, the need for an easy way to customize these installations prior to deployment is growing.

InstallTailor (now available at www.wise.com/installtailor.asp) is the only no cost utility on the market for creating automated transforms, or .MSTs.

InstallTailor lets system administrators customize Windows Installer installations by simulating the execution of the original .MSI installation. Customizations made during the installation process are recorded and the .MST file is automatically created. The .MST package is then used in conjunction with the original .MSI at runtime.
