PE Explorer includes functions for disassembly and inspection of unknown binaries, modification of the properties of executable files, plus customization and translation features. PE Explorer R4 now provides support for files modified with a number of UPX scramblers: Advanced UPX Scrambler, UPoLyX, UPX Lock, and several others. One potential use of the product is to analyze the procedures and libraries an executable uses without activating the executable, unlike a debugger.
