Access 2010 Runtime - Manipulate filetype associations written to the registry during install

Hi All, Quick one - I am installing Access 2010 runtime and it is taking over the file associations to 2003 runtime already installed. I want to remove the filetype association registry keys that are written during install to stop it taking the association away from 2003. I don't want to just delete those reg keys out of the vendor MSI (dodgy) - but cannot find an area in the config.xml or OCT tool to do it?

Am I just being blind or am I going to have to go tearing that msi apart?

Thanks!

  • Why you don't want the 2010 to take over since it will be replacing the 2003 in the machine? it is by design. Or you got them both in the same machine which is odd. - dj_xest 10 years ago
