Hi,

I want to suppress the Welcome screen during the shortcut launch. Have you done it or is it recommended not to suppress the welcome screen. If any one have done it please share the customization I need to perform to suppress the welcome screen

process monitor can not capture these many processes. Have you tried pressing 'F1' and entering 'filter'?

You can exclude processes, paths, results...just filter out anything you're not interested in (e.g. svchost.exe, explorer.exe, your AV EXE and so on).

Before that, though, you should tread the path - which you must surely have read here many, many times before - for dealing with set-up stubs. Admittedly this normally applies to legacy installs but it's a useful exercise for situations like yours. Namely:

- install your package
- use a lightweight snapshot tool (e.g. InstallWatch) and take a 'Before' snapshot
- rename the Windows Installer registry data for the app so that the engine is fooled into re-installing
- run the vendor stub
- take an 'After' snapshot
- incorporate relevant changes into your transform.

Normally I use processmonitor in this way:

select : Process Name is * exclude
Select : Process Name is "AdoveCaptivate.exe" include

So I get only captivate related stuff, but still it said limit exceeded...

Strange part : On 13th and 15th october 2010, I saved vmware images on my companies producstion build, and today also application installs and works fine on that. If today I install it on any physical box/vmware machine it does not work.
Doubt : Every week, security patches and hotfixes rolls-out on our machines, so there are changes in last 10 days in production build, How to find out? Is Adobe Captivate 5 have any problem with any microsoft security patch?

still it said limit exceededI have never seen ProcMon exceed any limit. Do you have the latest version?

Very big finding:

Application works fine if I am logging in to physical box/vmware console directly.

For the same machines if we do RDP then Adobe simulation feature does not work, throws an error

message...

Hi Everyone.
Currently I am dealing with Adobe Captivate 5 package.
If I install source on production image, then everything works fine but If I create MSI package through Adobe customization tool,[ApplicationManagerEnterprise] then I face a problem during the installation.
error 1935.An error occured during the installation of assembly component.

Can any body tell what needs to be done to install my package perfectly.
Please give the reply as soon as possible......

I'm just trying to get captivate 5 to record a response file and can't get that to happen...
