AMPAgent on CentOS

I installed the latest ampagent client on some of our CentOS VMs in order to have them catalogued in KACE. Ever since then I get an email notification stating that there is detected "K1000 Notification: Devices with Potential Filesharing/P2P/Torrent Application Discovered" . After checking on a VM there is a broadcast notification from root@server name restating a broadcast message we have for our Windows users. This detection did not happen before the client install. In my estimation there shouldn't be a broadcast message from the Linux VMs as this comes from the K1000. Anybody else run across this? This is more of an annoyance than anything else as I didn't find anything other operations are disrupted.

  • Which CentOS version? I've seen a few quirks with CentOS 7 but haven't seen this before. - JasonEgg 7 years ago
  • CentOS 6.8, 7.3 - 2 servers each version. One v7.3 is a physical server the others are virtual. - rdbaril 7 years ago
