In the K1000, on the scripting tab, configuration policy sub-tab, there is a "Enforce Desktop Settings" policy.

You can specify a wallpaper to set and it's position on the screen (stretch, center or tile).

Then set that script to run whenever the unit checks in, or on an hourly schedule, etc.

  • Note some of these default policies only work for 32-bit XP SP2. - philologist 11 years ago
    • We currently use this config policy for XP SP3 as well as Win7x64 successfully. - tshupp 11 years ago

Just did a simple search for scripts that do that and this website came up.

http://www.mombu.com/microsoft/scripting-vb-script/t-script-to-set-wallpaper-and-restrict-changing-427232.html

Under Scripting > Configuration Policy there is a Export Log Report Wizard. Just run though that and it will show you how the KBOX can launch a VB script. Use that as a template to make your own using the informaiton from the website above. When you run the wizard at the bottom there is a "click here" above the save button for Edit this policy using this editor. You can see what they did.

1. attach dependencies

2. user task one to launch the vb script.
