AppV Integration with locally installed apps?

Hi all

i cant seem to find a definitive answer for this question

if i sequence an app-v application, and it needs to integrate with something thats locally installed will this work ok if the locally installed product wasnt present when installed?

i.e

an application that uses a plug in which is installed locally?

or integrates with another application which i deploy as an msi?

im sure it does but just need clarification if someone can please

thanks

Hi,

1) Open the .sprj file

2) Highlight files & registries which need to be merged locally

3) Right click & select merged with local option

This would resolve your issue

Hi All

the issue is half the programs on a site im on are msi

and half are app-v

theres a base build so things like office will work with the app-v files as it was present at time of install

NONE of the applications by default have local interaction ticked, bare in mind this is app-v 5

what i need to know is if i install the msi then run the app-v will it see it?

It is if you specify it in the osd for the application with

                <LOCAL_INTERACTION_ALLOWED>TRUE</LOCAL_INTERACTION_ALLOWED>

I believe you could also virtualize the app with the plug-in included
