KACE Product Support Question

AR8151 drivers not being included in KBE using kmediamanager

07/19/2012 4887 views

Trying to use kmediamanager to add Atheros AR8151 and AR8152 drivers into a KBE.  The drivers are installed on the Windows 7 machine, but alas the drivers do not get included in the KBE image.

The first thing I would verify is that the drivers are in the K2000's KBE driver folder. Typically this will be:

\\*k2000 ip address or hostname*\drivers\kbe_windows_x64

If they aren't there, extract them there, recache your drivers and build your KBE using the kmediamanager.

Also, see if this post helps, particularly the last part:

I agree with John, any KBE drivers I need I manually place them in the structure, recache and rebuild KBE

  • I also manually put my KBE drivers in the folder.

  • Never had manual method fail yet!
  • I have, but it's almost always been due to the classic "short between the chair and the keyboard". ^=^
  • AKA loose nut behind the keyboard!
