Can i Get K2000 Deployment working with Windows Updates

Im New to the K2000. I have been setting up windows deployment for the last few days and have been able to deploy the OS, applications and settings successfully.
One thing I am trying to accomplish is a way to push windows updates with the deployment so that i dont have to spend alot of time getting the system updated. I Know that you can subscribe to the patching but i havent quite figured out how to manage them yet. If you have any tips or guidance you can give me on how to make my deployments with the updates better that would be very helpful.
Thanks

Create a gold image and start using that.  update it every few weeks to stay current

One option you can look at is finding a way to target your newly imaged machines with an aggressive detect and deploy schedule. When you image a machine with the K2 this file is created:

c:\ProgramData\Dell\KACE\k2000_deployment_info.conf

You can create a custom inventory rule to catch the file creation date and create a smart label with a time frame that works for you. This was suggested by multiple trainers at the DWUF. I have yet to set this up myself but will be doing so...
