Can you negate a custom inventory rule?

Something simple.

RegistryValueEquals(HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsUpdate, WUServer, http://foo.bar.com)

I know that I can just let this go as-is and make a smart label of members who do not have this key, but in my mind that states "these computers don't have this key, or we don't know if they have this key or not" . I would rather have some evidence that the key was determined not to match this. Can I have this inventory rule but with its negation instead? Using a ! or something perhaps?

Do a registry return value on the key to read it into inventory and use a report on that cir to determine if they are getting the CIR or not and what that data is.  If it is null the machine has not been queried.  You can use filters in the report to figure out what value each machine returns to Kace

Custom Inventory items are listed in the device's software if the value is returned. You can create a report or smart label based on Software Titles != "Custom Inventory Item"
