crystal report 2008 sp3

hello evrybody

I am trying to package crystal report 2008 sp3. i have msi and PID key is provided. it installs silently with qn/qb!. just want to know can i enter PID KEY through command line. if yes how command line should look like...?also is this a difficult application to package?

i appreciate helpful advice.

  • Hopefully, you're creating a transform for the MSI as, from memory, CR is utlimately deployed from an MSI.

    If so, find the property "behind" the serial number text-box and use that either on the command line or in your transform.

    As I say, it should be a simple matter of creating a transform so no.

Include the following property in the MST:

PIDKEY=<YourPIDkey>

or else you could use the property in command-line.

thanks for reply. which property i can use to disable updates? should i use in command line or mst?

also i observed its not complete uninstall. after uninstall still there is folder in programme files and gives registration link on first launch of application. how it can be disabled?
